The Community Care Centre embraces people infected and affected by HIV & AIDS. It empowers individuals to live with dignity and with a hope for the future. The project provides investigation facilities and treatment in partnership with four leading hospitals in Calcutta.
The centre provides:
- Facilities for primary health check up and appropriate treatment.
- Short stay unit for children and women with nursing care.
- A drop-in centre for children and adults.
- Pre & post WHAT counseling to individual, family and groups.
- Monthly Support meetings for fellowship and distribution of free nutritional supplements.
- Community preventive intervention and awareness programmes
- Networking with other agencies such as CBOs and NGOs in the same field
- Referral service and legal support
- Income generation program and self help groups
- Additional nutrition and education support for children.
